History: Michelle was born to a family that had been involved with Watchers for centuries, even though they had always lived up in the Scottish highlands. Even though her family had the means to live in a bigger city, they had always preferred having their privacy, as they used it to train Slayers, or potentials at the time. Her father and grandmother before him had been Watchers, and she had grown up alongside a potential that her father trained, who would later become a Watcher when she aged past the age that she would naturally be called.
After attending the Watcher’s Academy, her family had sent her on a trip around the world before she was supposed to settle down and starting working with a potential, but the Council had been blown up before she could do so. While her immediate family had been unharmed, she had lost several cousins in the blast. She decided to stay on her journey a little while longer, enjoying the freedom that travel allowed her.
It was when her father got in touch with Rupert Giles that she was finally convinced to stop traveling and head toward Los Angeles, so that she could start working with a Slayer as soon as they found her one.
Personality: Michelle suffers from a severe case of wanderlust that she developed after her parents sent her on a trip around the world as a graduation present. She loved the freedom of being able to go where the ‘winds took her’ and hoped to figure out a way to do that for the rest of her life while still accomplishing the duty of her family tradition. She is willing to head to LA for now, but she hopes that she can convince her Slayer to travel with her eventually.
Beyond her need for travel, she is a quiet and contemplative person, usually found either exploring some sort of ruin or reading a book about a faraway place. She loves to read the old Watcher’s diaries as well, although that’s more for her ‘job’ than anything else.
((OOC Note: This character may eventually be used to retrieve Slayers from around the world and bring them to Los Angeles for their training as well as training a Slayer alongside her.) |
